Our guest speaker Thursday night was Doug Wolbert, 3rd from left. Doug and his wife Alyce own Sweet Home Farm, where they make different varieties of organic cheese. He gave us an overview on how they started their business and how to make cheese. And he had some delicious samples for us to try! The first annual Christmas at the Library was great success. Over 100 visitors came to have their pictures taken with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Nala the library's reading dog.
Once again member Cynthia Nall opened her house to us for our Christmas party. The theme this year was Wild Wild West. As you can see our members Brian Pierce,Sherri Mack, Anthony Lowery, and Mike Sledge were up to the challenge. We had a great time with all of our Rotary Family.
Edward Theodoro, NJROTC instructor at RHS, and cadet Emily Mann were our guests tonight. They talked to us about the correct way to dispose of a flag. We also collected toys to donate to Toys for Tots, which they are also doing at the high school. They were invited by Terry Simpson.
Ann Simpson invited Ed Evans and Talmadge Cain with the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 2206 to be our guests Thursday night. We presented them with a donation of $250. Also pictured is Jeremy King, club president.
This year's Boston butt sale was a huge success this year. We were able to sell over 300 butts. It was a 24 hour marathon with lead cook Terry Simpson staying awake for the entire cook. Special thanks to Bill Patterson for his help getting extra grills and cooking with us.
