​What a great evening with our District Governor, Sam Adams! He ran two miles around town to promote polio awareness. And all members donated at least $2.00 to our End Polio Now campaign. #betheinspiration

​Alden Hatheway had our program tonight and his guests told us about the new on campus stadium USA hopes to build for their football team.

​We were finally able to give out the Paul Harris Fellow award. Anthony Lowery was this year’s recipient. Anthony, middle, is a past president who was instrumental in getting our club started. Also pictured is Jeremy King, immediate past president, and Kelly Childress, current president. The Paul Harris award recognizes individuals who contribute, or who have had contributions of $1000 donated in their name to the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International.

​Member Sherri Mack, right, invited Brenda Pierce, middle to be our speaker last night. Brenda is a member of Robertsdale United Methodist Church. She helps with their uniform ministry. We closed Jeremy's year as president and opened Kelly's with a great fiesta. Before the night was over most of us were wet and Cynthia had a tree down in her yard. Who says we don't know how to party?

​Great job Central Baldwin Sunset Rotary! We won several awards at the district conference. We won for best social media, best newsletter, and best website! We came in first place for the food fest with our German themed booth. And Brian Pierce was recognized as being the assistant district governor. And a special thank you to Jeremy King for his leadership this year as our president.

At this year's Rotary District Conference four different district in Alabama and Mississippi came together to have one large conference. On Friday night we participated in a food fest that represented  food from all over the world. We choose Germany and did it up right.
