History of our Club

Founded on June 13, 2013, the Central Baldwin Sunset Rotary Club began as a friendly, socially oriented group of about 30 members committed to service above self. From its earliest days, the club focused on building strong community connections, laying the foundation for lasting service initiatives. Over the years, it has become well-known in Rotary District 6880 for both its fellowship and impact, hosting annual events such as Alligators & Ales fundraiser, Christmas at the Library, a scholarship programs for students, and various seasonal community projects. What began as a small, close-knit group has grown into a vibrant force for good, recognized for its dedication to making a difference across Central Baldwin County and beyond. 

 Since its founding in 2013, the Central Baldwin Sunset Rotary Club has been a catalyst for positive change in Central Baldwin County, combining fellowship and service for lasting community benefit. Each year, the club hosts beloved signature events that unite the community and raise essential funding for local causes:

• Alligators & Ale— A fun, spirited event that brings neighbors together while raising awareness and support for club initiatives. 
• Christmas at the Library — A festive tradition that celebrates the season while giving back to the community. 
• Garrett Phillips Crawfish  Boil  -- In honor of Garrett Phillips, each year our club hosts a delicious crawfish boil to raise money for the scholarship program in his honor. 

Beyond these events, the club remains active in broader community development through Rotary District 6880 initiatives. Members participate in quarter‑by‑quarter service projects, fundraisers, and social engagement to address local needs directly.
